She is a leader in the exercise profession and fitness industry, and is dedicated to helping people in becoming more physically active each and every day. She is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist which allows her to work as a medical fitness consultant. Through her work, she uses physical activity and exercise to help prevent and treat different chronic illnesses.

Lisa’s depth of knowledge and experience spans many disciplines, and her care and compassion for people is contagious. Here you’ll find a number of resources and services created by Lisa to help you and your exercise education. For even more inspiration, check out Lisa's  The Why I Move Project- a forum of stories from all walks of life which show all the reasons for movement and exercise in our lives.

She has worked as a fitness instructor and as an international award-winning personal trainer. Her philosophy is “start from where you are today,” and she lives this through her work in exercise, her passion projects, and the various types of research she has done on the topics.

The Why I Move Project

Picture
In 2013, Lisa launched whyimove.com for The Why I Move Project, which aims to ask WHY.
WHY do you move? Is it for you, your family, your health and well-being, or all of the above?
But don’t stop there-
WHAT gets you moving? Is it work, the kids, the furbabies, or a love and passion for a certain sport?
HOW do you move? Do you focus on endurance, strength, or flexibility?
This is everything we ask with The Why I Move Project. Read through the forum of stories centered on inspiring others to get moving, and then submit your own story on WHY you MOVE!
