AFLCA Cycle Designation
A minimum 8 hour course covering topics specific to leading group exercise cycling classes. This practical based course will cover specific information for planning and developing recreational indoor cycling classes. Topics include: bike set-up and safety, pedaling, cadence, posture, class structure and content; class components, music, leadership and choreography design; movement combinations, cardiovascular conditioning, instruction and cueing.

AFLCA's Practitioners' Functional Independence Training Program
Leading Older Adults Through Exercise
This certification of completion course is for leaders and practitioners leading older adult exercise programs within the community and seniors’ facilities.

This course will provide you with hands-on learning!
The adaptable functional exercises are designed to enhance your current programming. This course will complement your AFLCA Ever Active Adults and/or AFLCA Fitness For the Older Adult certifications, and will serve as an AFLCA re-certification course.

AFLCA Exercise Theory Course & AFLCA Group Exercise Fundamentals
Exercise Theory and Group Exercise Fundamentals are required for AFLCA certification. Those who are taking the Group Exercise Leadership route, must also take a practical course in at least one area of specialization such as Portable Exercise Equipment, Cycle, Choreography, Mind/Body, and/or Step.
